WHAT TO EXPECT
Whether you are new to fishing tournaments or a seasoned veteran, you can expect an organized, well-planned experience. At your first tournament, a one-time annual membership fee of $50 per angler, membership form, and $200.00 team entry fee will be collected. Each tournament thereafter will begin by meeting at the designated lake/ramp for sign-in and $200.00 team entry fee will be collected. It will then be your responsibility to ensure a designated team member from NewJen Bass completes a boat inspection prior to launching your boat. Before safelight launch, the tournament Director will then announce any specific locational rules and the blast off order. The American Flag will be flown and the National Anthem will be played. Boats will be released and the tournament will officially begin! Official rules will be provided with your Membership Package.
Tournament of Champions
The Tournament of Champions (TOC) will be scheduled immediately following the regular season. The Top 40% of the field, based on our point system, will be invited to compete for the TOC Purse. Any team who does not make the Top 40% but has fished 7 NewJen Bass regularly scheduled 2017-2018 season events will also be invited.
Guaranteed Payouts & Awards
Our payouts are structured based on paying 1 fishing position per 5 boats entered with 80% of entry fees being returned to anglers via tournament payout and AOY/TOC Fund. Unlike most tournament series, we are guaranteeing that no matter how many boats actually enter, we will have a minimum of $1,000 in our purse to pay out. In addition, 1st place team members will receive a NewJen Bass custom trophy. 2nd place and 3rd place team members will all receive a NewJen Bass plaque. 1 plaque will be awarded to the Big Fish angler.
Anglers of the Year
1st through 3rd place Anglers of the Year (AOY) in each region will be recognized, based on our point system, and awarded from our AOY fund. They will also receive a NewJen Bass custom trophy or plaque. There are 6 point scheduled events in each region. There are no throw-outs for AOY recognition.
